Our Eye Doctors

Eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision—many of which do not always have obvious symptoms. Eye doctors know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses, both as eyeglass lenses and contact lenses.

Our optometrists take the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.

Dr. Brian Duvall

Dr. Brian Duvall
Dr. Duvall is the Director of Snoqualmie Valley Eyecare.  He received his BA in Biology from Central Washington University in 1990, and attained his Doctorate of Optometry, with distinction, from Pacific University in 1994.  Dr. Duvall is residency trained, having completed his residency fellowship at OMNI Eye Specialists in Denver, Colorado, with emphasis in anterior segment disease and glaucoma management.
 
Dr. Duvall went on to serve as Director of Optometric Consultative Services at Southern Arizona's largest medical eye referral center and as both a Clinical and Executive Director for TLC Laser Eye Centers.  In that time Dr. Duvall counseled and managed close to 10,000 LASIK patients and brings extensive experience in refractive and surgical eyecare to the Snoqualmie Valley.
 
Dr. Duvall has co-authored two textbooks and has published numerous articles.  Along with this, Dr. Duvall has co-hosted the cable television talk show, Eye on Health, and appeared on many other television and radio shows.  Dr. Duvall maintains his role as an educator, both lecturing and teaching regularly on many aspects of medical and surgical eyecare.  Dr. Duvall serves as an adjunct clinical professor at Pacific University College of Optometry, and has served in a similar capacity for the University of Houston College of Optometry.  Dr. Duvall is a Fellow of the American Acadamy of Optometry.
 
Dr. Duvall and his wife Latreash have three children, Ethan, Lauren and Luke.  Like most who live in the Snoqualmie Valley, they enjoy many outdoor passions including backpacking, snowboarding, and fly fishing.

Dr. Jennifer Kannberg

Dr. Jennifer Kannberg

 Dr. Kannberg joined Snoqualmie Valley Eyecare with the addition of Snoqualmie Ridge clinic in August 2004.  Dr. Kannberg is a 2000 graduate of Central Washington University, where she received her BA in Biology.  She attended Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon, receiving her Doctorate of Optometry in 2004.  Dr. Kannberg also currently serves as an Adjunct Clinical Professor for Pacific University.

Dr. Kannberg has worked in multiple clinics around the country, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience.  Her stops have included Portland, OR, Honolulu, HI, and Phoenix, AZ.  Working within the Veterans Administration, private practice and multi-specialty referral centers, she has focused on ocular disease management, specifically cataract and glaucoma.  In addition to her training in these areas, her emphasis focuses on specialty contact lens fitting.

Dr. Kannberg enjoys volunteering her time to infant and children's vision screening and education.  She is leading Snoqualmie Valley Eyecare's participation in InfantSee - a national public health initiative aimed at better recognition of childhood eye disease and vision disorders.  She has spent time working with a non-profit group participating in vision screening not only in the Northwest, but abroad in the small country of Moldova.  In addition, she co-organized a children's vision screening and educational exhibit at the Children's Museum in Portland, OR. 

Dr. Kannberg grew up in the Eastern Washington, in the small town of Creston.  She enjoys the outdoors, hitting the slopes in the winter while hiking and camping fill her spare time in the summer months.
