Dr. Brian S. Duvall, OD


Dr. DuvallDr. Duvall purchased Snoqualmie Valley Eyecare in May 2002. Since 1997, Dr. Duvall served as both a Clinical and Executive Director for TLC Laser Eye Centers in Indianapolis and Seattle. In that time Dr. Duvall counseled and managed close to 10,000 patients and brings extensive experience in refractive surgical eyecare and technology, primarily LASIK.

Until joining TLC, Dr. Duvall served as Director of Optometric Consultative Services at Southern Arizona's largest medical eye referral center, specializing in the treatment and management of ocular disease. Dr. Duvall is residency trained, having completed his residency fellowship at OMNI eye specialists in Denver Colorado, again with emphasis in anterior segment disease and glaucoma management. He graduated with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1994.

Dr. Duvall has co-authored two textbooks, Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics and Cataracts and Glaucoma, and has published numerous articles. Along with this, Dr. Duvall has co-hosted the cable television talk show Eye on Health, and appeared on many other television and radio shows speaking on a variety of eye related subjects. Dr. Duvall maintains his role as an educator, both lecturing and teaching regularly on many aspects of medical and surgical eyecare. Dr. Duvall serves as an associate professor at Pacific University College of Optometry, and has served in a similar capacity for the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Dr. Duvall is a native of Washington State and a graduate of Central Washington University. Married since 1994, Dr. Duvall and his wife Latreash have three children, Ethan, Lauren, and Luke. Like many who live in the Snoqualmie Valley, they enjoy many outdoor passions including backpacking, snowboarding, and flyfishing.

 

Dr. Jennifer L. Kannberg, OD


Dr. KannbergDr. Kannberg joined Snoqualmie Valley Eyecare with the addition of the Snoqualmie Ridge office in August 2004. Prior to moving into the valley, she attended Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon.

During her fourth and final year of optometry school Dr. Kannberg worked in multiple clinics around the country, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience. She spent time in the Portland metro area evaluating a wide range of ocular conditions. Moving to Honolulu, HI, she focused on ocular disease management while doing a rotation at the Veterans Administration. Her experience of working in a private practice was gained while living in The Dalles, OR. Dr. Kannberg expanded on her knowledge of ocular disease, specifically cataracts and glaucoma while rotating through Phoenix's premier referral center.

Dr. Kannberg enjoys volunteering her time to vision screenings and education. She has spent time working with a non-profit group participating in vision screening not only in the Northwest, but abroad in the small country of Moldova. In addition, she co-organized a children's vision screening and educational exhibit at the Children's Museum in Portland, OR.

Dr. Kannberg grew up in the small town of Creston, WA in Eastern Washington and is a 2000 graduate of Central Washington University. She enjoys the outdoors, hitting the slopes in the winter while hiking and camping fill her spare time in the summer months.
